NFL Picks: Week 4

Albeit a little bit late, I did tweet my pick (@WilliamBotchway) for the Thursday Night Game. Rest assured that I was occupied prior to the tweet and had not checked the score for the game, even though I knew it had started. Here it is:
Browns (+11.5) over RAVENS.
Finally! I have won an early week game! 1-3 on early week games, 1-0 this week and  23-23-3* on the year.  Of course that should be 24-22-3 because I had the Packers winning, but that's neither here nor there.

"UPSET ALERT" next to games in which I think the underdog will win outright, not only cover. Also, home team in CAPS.
FALCONS (-7.5) over Panthers. I know this pick will be wrong. I just can't bring myself to pick the Panthers after what they did last week against the Giants. The Falcons are clicking on all cylinders and they are at home, it looks way too good for ATL.
Patriots (-4) over BILLS. Don't feel too good about this pick either, but I mean, Bill Belichick is not going to let his team win by less than 10 after what they've been through the last couple of weeks,
Vikings (+4) over LIONS. Funny that in my Weekly Awards this past week, I jumped on the Vikings bandwagon and off of Detroit's. Well, I said it there and I'll say it here, the Lions have not looked good this year, and the Vikings look very interesting. This game should at least be close. UPSET ALERT.
CHIEFS (+1) over Chargers. The Chiefs squeaked by a very bad Saints team and got blown out twice. The Chargers are 2-1, but were beaten very badly by the Falcons. Also, the Chargers are due for their Norv Turner collapse. When in doubt, home team. UPSET ALERT.
Seahawks (-3) over RAMS. The Seahawks defense is very good. The Rams don't look very good on offense. The Seahawks also have the referees on their. Oh no, the real refs are back! Games are going to be controlled again! No!
49ers (-4.5) over JETS. Hey Jets fans, they aren't good. I admit this. Even worse now that Revis is gone. Leave me alone while I cry.

Okay, I'm back.
Titans (+12.5) over TEXANS. The Texans have shown a great ability to take care of the bad teams, and not just beat them, beat them well. With that said, Tennessee is better than people give them credit for, and they should probably be able to cover this absurd line.
Raiders (+7.5) over BRONCOS. I just don't know what to think about the Broncos right now. They should win, but they can also struggle. UPSET ALERT.
CARDINALS (-5.5) over Dolphins. The Fins screwed themselves up by attempting to "ice" Nick Folk last week. They should have won that game, but they remembered how bad they are, and they faltered. The offense is not good, especially if Reggie Bush misses the game, and Arizona's elite defense should take advantage of it. Watch out Tannehill.
Bengals (-1) over JAGUARS. The Bengals are definitely the superior team in this game. Yawn, no one will watch this one, let's move on.
PACKERS (-8.5) over Saints. Green Bay's offense hasn't been all that stellar this year, but they've faced great defenses. What better way to heal than to face the worst defense in the league? They are at home, so Drew Brees could easily crumble with the lack of a dome. Doesn't look good for the Ain'ts. Yes, the Ain'ts have returned. Let's hope the real refs don't give the Saints a TD and a FG for no reason at the end of the game.
BUCCANEERS (-2) over Redskins. Once again, I'm just going with the home team because there sin't much to sway me either way. RGIII should do well passing, but Tampa knows how to stop the run.
Giants (+1.5) over EAGLES. Why are the Eagles favored? Who made this line? The G-Men just dominated the Panthers and the Eagles haven't stopped turning the ball over and were completely outclassed by Arizona. Too easy here. UPSET ALERT.
Bears (+3.5) over COWBOYS. The Cowboys are still very inconsistent, and it looks like this spread is too large to pick them to cover. The Bears should win anyway.

Last Week: 8-8
This Week: 1-0
Season: 23-23-3*
