Weekly Awards 8/6/12

Best Player in Baseball- Mike Trout
Olympic Sport of the Week- Handball. I have no idea what the rules are, but it's fun to watch.
Impressive Minor Leaguer of the Week- Wil Myers has great power. Great power. He has 33 homers in AA and AAA so far this season. On top of his ability to drive the ball, His approach at the plate is really good. He has the ability to work the count. On top of that, he can play center field, with means that he will be considered really valuable in a few years. The only reason why he's still in the minors is because of Jeff Franceour's contract. You'll wish that Wil Myers is on your team in a few years.
Amar'e Stoudemire/Javale McGee Stupid Act of the Week- All of the people who thought that the USA ran up the score against Nigeria, stop it. There's a 24-second shot clock, and you have to shoot. Unless they wanted to be kicked out of the Olympics like those badminton players (eight players were kicked out for losing on purpose), they had to shoot.
Fix Your Bullpen- Josh Edgin is impressing me, but other than that, nothing to say. I hate you Frank Francisco.
Overrated Backup- Tebow
Skip Bayless Annoying Analyst Award- The man compared a healthy Peyton Manning to Tim Tebow.
Birthday of the Day- Mike Greenberg. I love Mike and Mike.
Mike Trout Award- That Pujols guy is trying to make it so that people don't forget him. But Trout's still better.
NL Version of Mike Trout- McCutchen is pretty good.
